Changing the format of the TA2 class was always going to make for an exciting season. Sepang Malaysia didn’t disappoint and has already shown how close the season will be. The expansion of cars and drivers has added to the excitement. It’s still a learning process for the teams, fine-tuning the change over from one to the next driver, getting used to the new one-hour race format. The race stretches the teams, and it certainly will be a team effort all season. There were several front runners already, the 2 Princes Johor Motorsports from Malaysia had a 1st and 2nd place, so did Greg and Maxime in the AF Racing team. Notably, the single manned car drivers were in the thick of things with Cem earning a creditable 3rd place on Sunday. There was several spins and coming together which you would expect with these 6-litre mussel cars. Below are the full results after rounds 1 and 2 at Sepang. Now onto Buriram for rounds 3 and 4, 8-9th June.
